Hotaru
An awkward high school girl with the amazing tendency to daydream and fantasize. When the Hotaru series first
started, Hotaru had no friends. She was always alone and had no one to help her when other girls picked on her. She would
aimlessly wonder the school halls thinking about a boy named Kaji, hoping that, one day, they would be together. Unfortunately,
as far as Hotaru knows, Kaji doesn't even know she exists. So, to deal with the loneliness of real life, Hotaru daydreams
of a new life. Over time, however, Hotaru was able to make a friend; Dianna, a tall rocker looking girl with a tough attitude.
Happy that she has made a true friend, and with Dianna always standing up for her, Hotaru slowly begins to gain self esteem
but not enough to drive her away from her spacy, daydream loving nature. Whenever she is alone, no matter what her mood is,
Hotaru finds herself slipping into another one of her daydreams. However, her daydreams have the tendency to get carried away
and she is hurled into some sort of cooky, or in some cases, dark adventures. So it leads one to ponder the fact, are they really daydreams...?

look into Hotaru's real life and her dream world. In this issue we find out that Hotaru is a true geek, with her day dream
dropping her into a parody of the Star Wars universe!

again daydreaming on her way home from school and dreams herself into a land made of candy, by way of trash compactor!

Hotaru has landed in Kandyland! She is continuing
her search for Kaji who has some how taken on the characteristics of a rabbit. She encounters a few characters that seem to
want to help but turns out that's not the case. And now...the fun begins!

Hotaru: If I Ruled the World We are shown the darker side of Hotaru in this
short series run. Hotaru is reminiscing about a dream she had. In this tale, she talks about how she was born as the devil's
only child. How dark will it go? What consequences will this dream have? Or is it actually a dream?

Hotaru's daydreams have kicked into high gear!
In this short series run, we see Hotaru daydreaming as the bus, headed for school, passes right by her. As she sucks on a
lollipop, the sugar hits her system, and we the readers are transported into the world of Hotaru!
